🎉 Roger Barrett – now officially a Chartered Engineer, and full Member of the IET.

After an 18 month assessment, Roger’s knowledge and hands on experience have been recognised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Engineering Council as meeting the highest professional standard an engineer can achieve in the UK.

Even more impressive – he achieved CEng having left school at 15 and being self-taught. In the specialist world of temporary staging and live event structures, that demands serious experience, demonstrable competence and the ability to evidence engineering excellence against traditional benchmarks.

This is about more than letters after a name. It is recognition that live event engineering is complex, safety critical work and, yes, very much a ‘proper’ job!
