European Athletics Championships. 1,645 athletes, 49 nations, one reshaped stadium.
This summer, Alexander Stadium hosted Britain’s first European Athletics Championships. Getting there meant reshaping the venue without ever slowing it down.
Using our proprietary Starlok scaffold system, we extended the North Stand upwards by over 7,000 seats and added a further 800 to the South – raising the front floor level to sharpen sightlines, while vomitories, gangways and egress routes were engineered in to keep fans moving safely and fast. Beyond seating, our scope covered the infrastructure that makes a championship broadcast-ready and athlete-ready: screen-support structures, a wire-cam tower, broadcast and media platforms, four studio structures and an athlete walkway bridge.
That’s the standard we build to – seats, sightlines and access a stadium can trust completely on its biggest day.
