London Fashion Week – Burberry AW26 at Old Billingsgate.
When client Bureau Betak approached Star Live in December with the concept for Burberry’s London Fashion Week AW26 show, they wanted a runway and bleacher seating set around a stylised Tower Bridge – stripped back to a structural frame of raw galvanised scaffolding, abstract architectural forms and a stark black-and-white palette, complete with puddled flooring reflecting London’s reputation for rain
This week, that concept became reality.
With our design, fabrication and engineering processes delivered to programme, structures were installed within Old Billingsgate’s 740sqm Grand Hall. High-density architectural elements were integrated within the scaffold Tower Bridge silhouette, with black flooring (including ‘puddles’) and bleacher seating surrounding the showpiece structure for nearly 600 guests.
Delivering within a heritage venue required detailed coordination, controlled loading and careful integration with existing building constraints. All structures were engineered, checked and installed to meet event safety standards and H&S approvals, ensuring compliance without compromising the creative ambition.
Tight programme. Heritage venue. Engineered temporary structures for live environments.
It was a privilege to work on this project with the team at Bureau Betak: Julien Bedane, Juliette Ergen, Charlotte Say, Laurene Delaure Konan, Léa Alexandrov, Tarik El Maarouf, Rita Ghermani, Gwenaelle Bernai.
