Magazine Open Air. A roofless dancefloor, with London’s skyline built into the production.
The new electronic music series took over the riverside setting at Magazine London, moving from afternoon daylight through sunset and into night, with the skyline, river and cityscape in full view.
The brief wasn’t to screen out the city. It was to bring it into the show. We engineered and built the stage and architectural tower structures to frame the setting, giving the production a strong identity in daylight and a completely different presence once illuminated after dark.
That’s the opportunity when structure enters the creative conversation early: not just supporting the production, but making the site, show and identity of a new event work as one.
