LIV Golf UK Presented by JCB.

The brief

Elite sport events are increasingly about more than the competition itself. At LIV Golf UK Presented by JCB, live entertainment formed part of a wider event experience alongside the action on the course.

For the 2026 event at JCB Golf & Country Club, Star Live worked alongside Concert Stuff Group and Kelco Productions to engineer and deliver the main stage infrastructure for LIV Golf’s entertainment programme. The project continued Star Live’s relationship with LIV Golf, following its involvement with the inaugural UK event in 2022.

At the centre of the brief was a 20m all-black VerTech™ CORE 3 stage, alongside a low-level 5m × 5m front of house structure.

The brief

With sporting competition and live entertainment sharing the same event environment, the stage needed to provide the technical capability for a large-scale live show while sitting naturally within the wider LIV Golf site.

The brief included significant production rigging requirements, integrated IMAG and supporting production spaces around the main stage. The finished structure also needed a clean visual presence that allowed LIV Golf’s branding and production content to take prominence.

Our solution

Star Live selected VerTech™ CORE 3 for the main stage, configuring the 20m system with a 2.5m stage level and 11m trim. The wider arrangement incorporated 8m wings, IMAG portals, side sheds and a dedicated loading bay.

The system provided up to 30,000kg UDL production rigging capacity over the stage, with additional capacity incorporated into the IMAG portals, providing the infrastructure required for the live production.

Finished in black throughout, the stage allowed LIV Golf’s branding and production content to take prominence. Branded PVC truss headers were integrated across the IMAG portals, stage returns and main header, carrying the event’s visual identity across the structure.

Star Live managed the stage package from engineering through to site delivery, with a low-level 5m × 5m front of house structure completing the delivery.

Impact

The completed VerTech™ CORE 3 provided the focal point for LIV Golf UK’s entertainment programme at JCB Golf & Country Club, creating a stage environment that combined the technical requirements of live production with LIV Golf’s visual identity.

For Star Live, the project demonstrated the versatility of a proven staging system within a major sporting event, providing the scale and production capability required for the live entertainment programme.

The successful delivery also continued Star Live’s ongoing relationship with LIV Golf, Concert Stuff Group and Kelco Productions, building on its previous involvement with LIV Golf in the UK.
