Longines Global Champions Tour 2025

When a world-class equestrian competition requires world-class temporary infrastructure.

At the Royal Hospital Chelsea, the Longines Global Champions Tour welcomed riders and spectators from across the world to one of the most prestigious competitions on the global calendar. London is a key stop on this international circuit, bringing together elite riders, global brands and discerning audiences. Star Live was appointed to provide temporary infrastructure that delivered comfort, accessibility and premium presentation in a historic central London setting.

Meeting the challenge

The brief required VIP grandstands, tiered seating, accessible viewing platforms and a two-storey Media Zone / Jury Box. Delivering this within the Grade I listed grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea brought additional challenges. Strict heritage protections, limited build space and narrow access routes meant the infrastructure had to be carefully designed for rapid installation, minimal impact and complete compliance with site regulations.

Our solution

Star Live deployed its modular seating system for both covered and uncovered seating, and its Starbox system to construct the Media Zone / Jury Box structure. The flexibility of both systems allowed for efficient installation while achieving the premium finishes expected of an international sporting event. Sightlines, accessibility and comfort were prioritised across all seating, with dedicated facilities for media and officials integrated into the design. Close coordination with Tops Equestrian Events ensured that logistics were tightly managed to meet the venue’s operational constraints.

The Impact

The completed infrastructure delivered a seamless live environment for riders, guests and thousands of spectators, enhancing the prestige of the London leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour. By combining engineering precision with modular flexibility, Star Live created a premium, functional event space within a sensitive historic venue. Having supported the event since 2019, we continue to play a key role in its ongoing success.
