Fast-track innovation at a landmark site
When NEON Global set out to create a flagship immersive venue in the heart of London, the ambition was clear: deliver a high-performance, future-proof exhibition space, fast. The challenge? Achieve it within the iconic and tightly regulated Battersea Power Station development.
Enter Star Live. Drawing on our experience in modular and event-based engineering, we turned an ambitious brief into a real-world venue: 3,200m² of world-class space, delivered in just eight months on site.
The solution
The venue, named NEON at Battersea Power Station, is a fully integrated modular structure built with Star Live’s proprietary steel truss and hybrid frame system. Designed by Expo Pavilion Group and fabricated largely off site, the structure combines architectural impact with engineering precision.
We deployed our smART™ hoist control system to lift the 128-tonne roof into place in a single synchronised operation – an innovation that saved time, improved safety, and reduced disruption to the local community.
By running design development, off-site fabrication, and site works in parallel, we shaved months off the typical programme, all while working within strict heritage and planning constraints.

Star Live delivered a 60% reduction in programme time for the structural phase and ensured seamless integration into the sensitive public realm of the Battersea Power Station estate.
